Mo kirke, Rana kommune, Nordland. Tilstandsregistrering av kunst og inventar, 2022

Abstract

Som ledd i de nasjonale oppgavene tildelt fra Klima- og miljødepartementet gjennomfører NIKU i samarbeid med Riksantikvaren tilstandsregistrering av kunst og inventar i norske kirker årlig. I 2022 gikk turen til Helgelandskysten i Nordland. Det ble gjennomført en tilstandsregistrering av kunst og inventar i Mo kirke i september, 2022. Mo kirke har noe inventar fra da kirken var relativt ny i 1724, med altertavle og to messehagler som i dag er plassert i montre. Prekestolen fra 1860 har bevart deler av den eldre prekestolen. Kirken har gjennomgått flere restaureringer med inventar og nytt interiør som kobles til de store arbeidene, som blant annet fondmaleriene fra 1866 bak dagens alter. Den ene messehakelen fikk TG 3, de store lerretsmaleriene i koret har løs maling og fikk TG 2, mens resten av de registrerte gjenstandene var i god stand og fikk TG 1.

In collaboration with The Directorate for Cultural Heritage, NIKU carries out condition registration of art and furnishings in Norwegian churches annually. This is a part of the national tasks assigned by the Ministry of Climate and the Environment. In 2022, the trip went to the coastal area of Helgeland in Nordland County. A condition assessment of art, inventory and interior was carried out in Mo church in September 2022. The possesses interior and inventory originated from the building of the church in 1724. The pulpit from 1860 has re-used parts from the previous pulpit. The church has undergone changes throughout time, this is reflected in the interior, as one can see in the painting from 1866 behind the altar. One of the cloaks was assessed and given the condition grade (TG) 3, the large canvas paintings in the chancel have loose paint and got TG 2, whilst the rest of the registered items were in good condition and got TG 1.
